If you are going to opt for in-house PR please follow this golden rule:
Make PR a proper job. Don't just bolt it onto someone's job description. Would you ask the office junior to write your company brochure? No! And PR's the same - it's far too important to leave to chance.
So, if you're going for the in-house route, ensure the person is trained, experienced, motivated and creative. Provide them with networking opportunities to meet other creative people. Invest in them. Most importantly, make sure they are well supported by the management and directors of the company. After all, they are YOUR MOUTHPIECE
